Petroleum Investigations and Remediation

Both underground storage tanks (USTs) and aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) are widely used by many industries to store fuels, cleaning agents, and waste products.  Glacial Lakes Environmental Consulting, Inc. (GLEC) provides compliance- and remediation-related services to those utilizing USTs and/or ASTs.  GLEC is a registered consultant with the Minnesota Department of Commerce Petrofund program.

During installation and ongoing operation, GLEC can help determine if your UST/AST system is in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines.  During site decommissioning or upgrading, GLEC can manage your tank removal/replacement activities.  If an actual petroleum release associated with your system occurs, GLEC provides investigation and remedial services that comply with the MPCA's current petroleum investigation guidelines.  Our knowledge of the industry and the regulatory guidelines results in shorter project timelines and in-turn lower total project costs.  Finally, GLEC provides services to assist clients with obtaining reimbursement of eligibleproject-related costs from the Minnesota Department of Commerce's Petrofund.
